At the 2016 elections, Unionist parties totalled 21,858 votes which was 4,798 more votes than the nationalist parties.

Why Labour?

Historically, Strahkelvin and Bearsden has traditionally voted Labour with Conservatives on a minority vote. In 2016, Conservatives beat Labour which was down to the ‘Ruth Surge’ which won’t be replicated in 2021.
